Sweaty Creatives (or. . .Why Your Critics Aren't the Ones Who Count)

Researcher Brene Brown is one of my favorite speakers and authors right now. Most people know her from her TED talk on vulnerability that turned into a viral sensation. In this video, filmed at 99U conference in 2013, Brown talks about the vulnerability of creativity -- the cold sweat inducing fear of criticism and risk that comes with putting out something you've worked so hard to create. She discusses why the critics don't really matter, and how to deal with them when they inevitably come. As a creative type with more than my share of experience with those cold sweats, I loved what she had to say. I hope you do, too. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-JXOnFOXQk
